About Countrywide Property Lawyers - Introduction

Countrywide Property Lawyers

Countrywide Property Lawyers (CPL) were formed to provide the leading service in residential conveyancing within England & Wales.

CPL are a subsidiary of Countrywide plc. As well as CPL, Countrywide plc also owns over 1200 estate agents nationwide, incorporating names such as Bairstow Eves, Dixons, Mann & Co, and Taylors. Other companies in the group include Countrywide Residential Lettings, Countrywide Assured Mortgage Services, and Countrywide Surveyors.

Formed in 1997, CPL was initially set up to provide a service to customers referred to us by Countywide plc's other subsidiaries. Since then, CPL has grown, and now works with other companies including well known lenders and mortgage advisers.

Operating across the UK, in 2004, CPL received over 87,000 transactions. In addition to this, we currently employ 500 staff, making us by far the largest conveyancer in the UK.
